Senator Makanjuola Ajadi has accused Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State of betrayal.DAILY POST reports that the Kwara State Government run by the All Progressives Congress (APC) has instituted a suit stopping Ajadi’s senatorial ambition for the Kwara South Senatorial District.
The suit, personally signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters, Malam Sambo Muritala, will come up on July 26, 2022.
The suit is among other things challenging Ajadi, who defected from the APC, from contesting the 2023 elections on the platform of another party, the African Democratic Congress, ADC.Ajadi, a former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on National Assembly Matters, fell out with the state government following what he described as a fraudulent APC Kwara South Senatorial primary election held at Idofian, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state recently.
He then dumped the party for the ADC and secured the ticket to contest for the Kwara South senatorial seat.
Ajadi alleged that Governor Abdulrazaq betrayed him because he consulted and confided in the governor before taking the shot at the Senatorial primary election, but the process was fraudulent.
Senator Ajadi’s latest ourtbust is coming few weeks after Senator Yahaya oloriegbe also called out the Kwara state Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq over alleged betrayal of trust.
