In a bid to eliminate corruption, arm robbery, illicit drug consumption by youths and to ensure the development of Nigeria, an appeal has gone to Christian and Islamic preachers to urgently rise up to their responsibilities by preaching the practice of truth, justice, righteousness, holiness and godliness.
Delivering his paper titled “The Word of God to the rescue of Africa” at the vitality lecture series 2018 organized by the Centre for Biblical Christianity in Africa (CBC Africa), the guest lecturer, Professor Emiola Nihinlola attributed the problem confronting Nigeria to the lack of fear of God.
Nihinlola who is also the president of Nigeria Baptist theological seminary Ogbomosho said the nation’s multi-cultural diversity is gradually becoming problem, adding that Nigeria and Africa at large need the word of God in order to resuscitate the nation from her educational backwardness, economic hardship and political disorientation.
In his speech, the convener of the event and founder of CBC Africa, Babatomiwa Owojaiye said the aim of the event was to reorient pastors on their need to teach and preach the word of God according to doctrine of the bible.
