Tripple 44 and Imperial Football Club, on Tuesday, kicked start the Lagos Supremacy Cup at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos State, with a draw.
The opening match saw Tripple 44 and Imperial engage in a riveting encounter, ultimately concluding in a 2-2 draw.
Joel Ashuku’s brace for Imperial was countered by goals from Rahmon Olawale and Ifeoluwa Adewale of Tripple 44, setting the stage for a thrilling tournament.
Dosu Joseph Football Club and Ikorodu City battled to a 1-1 draw in a game that intensified in the final 10 minutes. Olowu Seun’s goal equalized Al Ameen’s opener, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
Mavlon showcased their prowess with a 2-1 victory over Dino SC. Charles Agada and Imrana Mohammed played pivotal roles, securing Mavlon’s triumph.
Dino SC, however, displayed resilience with Hassan Agbede equalizing before Imrana Mohammed’s late winner.
In the fourth match, Broad City secured a 2-1 victory against Corinthians, further fueling the intensity of the competition.
Isa Muhammed’s performance was instrumental in 36 Lion’s 1-0 win over FC Bethel, while DN10 and SGFC Athletics played to a 1-1 draw.
