In commemoration of the World Food Day, traders have lamented the high price of food items and transportation in Nigeria.
The traders who spoke with RoyalTimes stated that the price of food items and transportation has skyrocketed since the removal of fuel subsidy on May 29.
Business owner Abdulrahman Lateefat lamented the hike in funds to start the business now compared to previous years, while a pepper seller, Rasheedat Ibrahim agitated on the price of goods.
Similarly, a trader at Tipper Garage market, Anthony Chukwu lamented the hike in the price of food items.
RoyalTimes gathered that the traders lamented that the price of rice has risen to about sixty thousand since the assumption of office of president Tinubu, noting that before May 29 a bag of rice is sold for about thirty thousand naira.
