Traders Protest Against Soaring Prices Of Fish In Sagamu
Fish sellers in Sagamu, Ogun State, have taken to the streets to protest against the high landing cost, which has left their businesses in turmoil.
The placard carrying protesters stormed the palace of the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, to express their growing frustrations.
The fish sellers demanded immediate measures to alleviate the economic situation in Sagamu and other parts of the state.
Residents have been hit hard by the price fluctuations, with one lamenting that fish, which normally goes for one thousand two hundred naira, a week ago, has suddenly soared to one thousand eight hundred naira.
