Real Madrid’s seasoned midfielder, Toni Kroos, has announced his comeback to international football, reversing his retirement decision to represent Euro 2024 hosts Germany.
Kroos, a pivotal figure in Germany’s 2014 World Cup triumph, retired from international duty in July 2021 but has now opted to return following discussions with Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.
Expressing his readiness to rejoin the national squad, Kroos emphasized his confidence in the team’s potential for success in the upcoming European Championship.
His return adds depth and quality to Germany’s midfield as they prepare to face formidable opponents in next month’s international friendlies and the subsequent Euro 2024 campaign, commencing with a showdown against Scotland at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
