In a bid to reduce the number of out-of-school children, over six hundred Kwara students in tertiary institutions, secondary and basic schools have been awarded a scholarship to study.
The students were awarded the scholarship by the Bayo And Bunmi Babalola Foundation (BBBF) in omu-aran, irepodun local government area of kwara state on October 20, 2023.
Speaking to newsmen, the financier, Engr. Sunday Babalola urged the government to prioritize education to provide a last solution to the problem of education in Kwara.
Engr. Babalola further advised the government to get more experts to provide advice in reshaping the educational structure in the state.
“Lasting solution is For government to face education simple it’s for the people in power to start looking at education as one of the foundations that can help lift up the society from where it is today and to turn the state from the way it is to be better.”
“When people are educated they get better results they know what to do even if they’re selling boli they sell it with knowledge, their counting system will be better, their management will be better.”
“Without education the state and everywhere is doomed. No education, trouble for everybody. I think the government should put in more funds, get experts to give directions on what should be done.”
It was gathered that about six hundred and fifty-one pupils were awarded scholarships in Irepodun Local Government in its eighth edition of the scholarship scheme.
