Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was reportedly absent from Napoli’s morning training session on Monday ahead of a key Champions League fixture against Braga, as he flew to Morocco to attend the 2023 African Footballer of the Year Award.
Reports from Italian media confirm that Osimhen was notably absent from Napoli’s training session after boarding a private flight from Capodichino Airport to Marrakech.
The prestigious CAF Awards ceremony is set to take place at Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, with Osimhen eying the Men’s Player of the Year against formidable contenders, Mohamed Salah and Achraf Hakimi.
