Subair Enitan, a 200-level student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun state, completed a remarkable 58-hour hand wash-a-thon in the early hours of Monday.
Enitan embarked on this extraordinary endeavor to set a record for the longest hand cloth washing by an individual, having applied to the Guinness World Record for the task last June.
The ambitious feat, according to Vanguard, commenced on Friday afternoon at the Student Union Building Motor park within the University campus, drawing thousands of students to rally around Enitan in support.
The dedicated student completed the 58-hour challenge around midnight on Monday. However, following the strenuous effort, Enitan was promptly taken in the school ambulance to the institution’s clinic for a medical checkup.
Expressing her fulfillment after completing the task, Enitan shared her joy in having her mother, Omogbolabo Afolake, present at the venue throughout the challenging feat.
