National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Kwara Council, has suspended its twenty-one-day strike ultimatum issued to the state government over poor conditions of service of its members.
A letter to the state Governor, Malam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Aminu Shehu and Markus Lukas respectively, said the decision followed the express approval of the council’s demand by the governor.
The demands include among others, recruitment of more nurses into the health sector, upward review of CONHESS from seventy percent-to-one hundred percent, implementation of hazard allowance from thirty-two thousand-to-thirty-four thousand, and implementation of uniform allowance.
