Manchester United pair Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen has been withdrawn from the Denmark squad due to injury.
Both Danish stars were substituted during United’s 1-0 win over Luton after Eriksen picked up a knee problem and Hojlund had a hamstring complaint.
The Danish FA has now confirmed that both men will not participate in the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Slovenia and Northern Ireland, and United boss Erik ten Hag has told reporters that they would have to wait 24 hours after assessment to know about the severity of the injuries.
“We do an assessment and we have to wait 24 hours for the conclusion. So we’ll give the medical team 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem. You don’t want to miss any player. That is our season at this moment – we have so many injuries. But, therefore, you have a squad. We have talked about it many times. But, of course, the routine levels are dropping down, the routine levels in the team, in the way of playing. But, hopefully, players are coming back and those new injuries are not too bad.”
