The Acting Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh has commended the state Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the immediate response to the collasped culvert linking Shao to Malete in the Moro Local Government Area of the state.
Professor Jimoh described the swift deployment of repair materials and personnel to the site as restating the commitment of the state government to the institution and the people of the area.
The Vice Chancellor, in a statement signed by the institurion’s Ag. Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, and made available to newsmen, said the state Ministry of Works and Transport was at the portion of the road a few hours after the collaspe was reported, while efforts to provide commuters with access to the road commenced a few hours later.
Royal Times reports that the KWASU boss commended Governor AbdulRazaq for the timely action which had affected vehicular movement to and fro the state capital to that part of the state, adding that the road was pivotal to not only the members of the KWASU Community but the many agrarian communities in the area.
