Ahead of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primaries, a grassroots mobilizer and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Kwara State, Hajia Aisha Ahman-Pategi has joined the race for Kwara North Senatorial District.
Speaking with journalists shortly after submitting her nomination form at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja, the estranged cabinet member of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq who resigned following alleged diversion of local government funds said her mantra for the coveted Senate seat is ‘a mother’s voice’.
The grassroots mobilizer assured the people of Kwara North Senatorial District of adequate representation and inclusive governance if given a chance to represent the area in the red chamber.
She described the legislative chamber as one in which laws are made for the good of the society, saying her quest for the Kwara’ north senatorial seat is propelled by her resolve for remarkable difference in the region.
It will be recalled that the former Commissioner had formally defected to the PDP at her Patigi electoral ward where she threw wait behind the Kwara’ North agenda for the Governorship seat in the state.
