Kogi Government Condemns Attack On SDP Campaign Office By Suspected Thugs

The Kogi State Government on Sunday condemned the destruction of properties belonging to the Social Democratic Party, SDP, campaign office in Lokoja.

It could be recalled that thugs on Sunday attacked the Kogi State Secretariat of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Lokoja over a poster showing the picture of President Bola Tinubu alongside the SDP Governorship Candidate, Alhaji Murtala Yakubu Ajaka for the November 11 election in Kogi State.

Reacting to the incident through a statement on Sunday evening, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, described the act as barbaric, undemocratic and unacceptable to the people and government of the state.

He said the state government would continue to support the freedom of anyone and everyone to aspire to positions in line with the ethos of democratic values.
