In a strategic move to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 elections, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has declared his readiness to lead good governance in Nigeria.
As reported by Dailypost, the announcement came shortly after the Supreme Court upheld the election victories of several PDP governors, including Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Barr. Caleb Muftwang of Plateau, and Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom.
Atiku, in a congratulatory message, hailed the court’s decision as a victory for constitutional democracy and a positive development for the citizens of the affected states.
Atiku, known for his commitment to a united opposition front, emphasized the need for collective efforts to strengthen democracy in Nigeria.
In a statement released by his Media Office in Abuja, the former presidential candidate called on the PDP governors to view their victories at the Supreme Court as an opportunity to consolidate and expand the scope of the good governance they have already instituted in their states.
