Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has revealed that the forward, Kelechi Iheanacho will join the Super Eagles squad on Saturday.
Iheanacho, who is recovering from a muscular problem, was not part of Nigeria’s pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations training camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The 27-year-old was earlier scheduled to join the Super Eagles in Lagos on Tuesday but will now head to Abidjan this weekend.
Peseiro who also provided an update on OGC Nice forward, Terem Moffi, said he was a late replacement for Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface, who has been ruled out of the competition after sustaining a groin injury in training.
The Portuguese hinted that Moffi will link up with his teammates in camp on Sunday.
