The fans of the Super Eagles of Nigeria expressed disappointment as they were barred from the Eagles’ training on Thursday night, as the team intensified preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe.
The team’s first training session on Wednesday was opened to the media and fans but Thursday’s session inside the main bowl of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium was however held behind closed doors.
Fans expressed their disappointment with the decision of the Jose Peseiro-led coaching crew and it took the presence of security operatives at the main entrance of the stadium to maintain peace and order.
The Super Eagles will on Friday, continue their preparation for the game against Sao Tome and Principe.
