The United Nations has expressed concern over flooding in Nigeria, which has impacted the lives of more than two point eight million men, women and children.
United Nations Spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, who disclosed thia at a news conference at UN headquarters in New York, said UN is gravely concerned that the flooding will worsen the already alarming food insecurity and malnutrition situation in Nigeria.
The spokesman said cereal production will likely decline by three point four percent compared to 2021 due to the flooding, high agriculture production costs, and insecurity.
