President, Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in New York to participate in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
He was received in the early hours of today by Nigerian officials in New York.
According to reports from the presidency, the theme for this year’s session is: “A watershed moment: Transformative solutions to interlocking challenges.”
President Buhari is expected to address the assembly on Wednesday, the 21st of September, when he will deliver Nigeria’s National Statement.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with selected leases of other countries, to strengthen ties as well as showcase investment opportunities in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, President Buhari’s latest outing at the United Nations General Assembly will be his last, as his tenure expires in May 2023.
