The Federal Government has trained forty Primary Health Care workers to reduce Child maternity during a five-day Capacity Building on Integrated Maternal Newborn, Child Health and Helping Babies breath program in Omu-Aran.
Speaking to news, Dr. Umar Ibrahim, the Program manager in Kwara said the event is a federal government program in conjunction with the World Bank and Saving One Million Lives (SOML).
Umar added that the objective of the capacity building program is to reduce the increase in maternal and child maternity by possessing skilled Health Care Workers in the Primary Health Care sector.
On his part, Professor Adeboye Muhammed, the director of the training explained that his expectation at the end of the training is to have more educated and informed health practioners at the Primary Health Care sector.
While, one of the trainee, Ibrahim Nurat Ayo from Asa Local Government, said she has updated her knowledge and hope the government can make the program continuous.
