Two people have been confirmed died by the Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in a tanker explosion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The explosion happened in the early hours of Wednesday (6:05 am) few kilometers after the Sagamu interchange near CDK Company.
According to the report from the FRSC, the tanker has no registration number and the explosion involves eight male adults, three vehicles, and a Bajaj motorcycle.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Ahmed Umar, stated that two people lost their lives in the explosion while six people came out unhurt.
Furthermore, he stated that the corpses of the dead have been deposited at the Idera Morgue Sagamu. However, he disclosed that the explosion is caused by speeding on the part of one of the truck drivers.
