After their shock 2-0 win against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in their last match of Group B at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Madagascar midfielder, Anicet Abel, has stated that the element of surprise will help the team go far at the competition.
Reacting to their win over the Eagles in Alexandria on Sunday, the Ludogorets star noted that no one expected them to finish top of Group B with nations such as Nigeria and Guinea.
This is Madagascar’s debut at the AFCON and Abel stated that no one expected anything from them but he knows the players in the team and the quality they possess.
With the Eastern African nation making history at the AFCON, Abel insists that the element of surprise has taken them this far.
