Youths have been implored to be peaceful before, during and after the Saturday presidential and national assembly election in the country. The Kwara state chairman of the Accord party, Alhaji Saka Saliu, who made the appeal in a press statement issued to newsmen in Ilorin said what the youths should demand from politicians representing them is adequate empowerment with good jobs and basic standard of living.
The party chairman also advised youths to vote wisely with their conscience adding that the future of the country is in their hands. He further urged the people of Kwara state to see Accord Party as the credible alternative party in the state pledging that the party will not disappoint the people of the state.
Saliu also promised that the party will establish a youth development council to provide coordination of all youth related activities in with the party’s Policy document.
The Party Chairman equally affirmed the expulsion of Prince Okunlola, Mrs Ayobami Bamidele and Chief Jayeola Omotosho from the party for anti party activities even as he implored individuals or any group to desist from transacting any business with them on behalf of the party or do so at their own risk.
He commended the National secretariat for their quick intervention to restore peace and unity in the party.
Alhaji Saliu noted that Accord party gubernatorial candidate, Prince Ayorinde Adedoyin if elected will fight poverty , promote peaceful Existence, good education, basic healthcare, Agricultural mechanization, improved security and Entrepreneurship with the intent to build a virile Kwara state consistent with the dreams of the noble founding fathers of the state.
