The Diocesan Bishop of Lagos and Dean Emeritus of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Most Rev. Dr Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, has called on Nigerians not to lose hope but to believe that the country is going to be a better place.
The eminent cleric made the admonition on Tuesday at the dedication of the new ArchBishop Ephraim Ademowo Chapel of Divine Fruitfulness, located at the Bishop’s court, Oke-Osin, Iludun-Oro in Kwara state.
The Arch Bishop noted that though, the nation is undergoing tough times with numerous challenges and hardship on the people, he expressed assurance that God will soon visit His mercy on the nation.
While also appreciating the Diocesan Bishop of Igbomina West, Right Reverend Olajide Adebayo, and the church for the honour bestowed on him, Dr Ademowo described the Adebayos as goal getters and urged the church to offer them maximum support in their quest to take the church to higher heights.
The cleric also urged clerics to see their stations as their Jerusalem and endeavor to do something memorable.
In his sermon, the Arch Bishop of Kwara Province and Bishop of the Diocese of Igbomina, the Most Reverend Michael Akinyemi, said with the project, the Diocesan Bishop and the church of God has made history.
He stated that the chapel is hallowed for praise, giving, obedience and to keep the word of God alive. He also called on all Christian faithful to ensure they make impact wherever they are towards the propagation of the gospel.
The Diocesan Bishop, Right Reverend Adebayo, in his comment, said the worship edifice is named after the Most Reverend Dr Ademowo as an immortal mark of honour for his immense contribution to individual lives, the church, and the nation at large.
The service was also attended by eminent clerics, traditional rulers, prominent indigenes of Oro and other invited guests.
