The Nigeria Police Force, Kwara state Command has called on residents in the state to co-operate with the command, just as it assured of adequate preparation to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-fitr celebration.
The state Police Commissioner, Sam Okaula, who stated this in a statement issued to RoyalFM, also warned potential trouble makers, and hoodlums to steer clear of the praying ground during the yuletide celebration.
While explaining some of the arrangement put in place ahead of the celebration, the police boss said vehicular movement to and from the praying ground area would be restricted thirty minutes before the commencement of prayers to enable free movement of authorized persons.
While requesting for maximum co-operation from the public, the state police command felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the state and wished them a peaceful celebration.
NSCDC deploys 2,500 personnel in Kwara
And in a similar vein, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara, says it has deployed two thousand, five hundred personnel across the state to ensure protection of lives and property during the Eid-al-fitr celebration.
The Kwara Commandant of the corps, Mr Pedro Ideba, who disclosed this in llorin, the state capital today, said that the personnel had already been deployed in all the sixteen local government areas of the state to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration.
The commandant said that the corps was collaborating with other security operatives in the state to achieve this. He warned residents in the state against taking laws into their hands, as any person or group who constitute security threat would be dealt with.
