As Nigerian Muslims join counterparts around the world to commence this year’s Ramadan, the President and founder, African Broadband Limited, owners of RoyalFM, RoyalTimes and RoyalTV online, Engineer Gbenga Adebayo has enjoined Muslim faithfuls to devote this spiritual exercise to pray for the peace and redemption of Nigeria.
Engineer Adebayo, in his message to felicitate with Muslims as they start this year’s fasting and prayer, also urged them to dedicate the holy month of Ramadan to pray for the leaders as they steer the country to her Eldorado.
Adebayo, who noted that righteous life is required to seek the face of God, also admonished them to spend the period in atonement and devotion to the way of Allah with the firm determination not to slip back to a life unworthy of emulation.
While noting that the era of religious discrimination is now a thing of the past, the business doyen frowned at the recent mob incident in Kano and urged people of different religious beliefs to learn to live together in peace and harmony.
He also called on religious leaders and scholars to take the teaching of religious tolerance and cooperation as sacrosanct, stressing that the nation can never progress where religious prejudice is the order of the day.
