Why I resigned From Governor Abdulrazaq’s Cabinet – Professor Sulaiman
The Kwara South Senatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the 2023 general elections Professor Wale Sulaiman, CON, has stated that he resigned from the current administration in the state,  because the governor reneged on all his campaign promises.
Speaking  at the official flag off of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, campaign in Kwara South ,Sulaiman said the APC government is working for a handful of some selected people.
Sulaiman who had resigned his appointment in August 2020 via a letter titled, “My Resignation as Special Adviser on Health Matters to Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Prof. Wale Sulaiman,” said he resigned so that he could concentrate on his private business and foundation, RNZ Global Limited, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer/President.
Professor Sulaiman talking about the real reason for his resignation said most of the people who left the current APC government in the state would have stayed out if they don’t have the love of the people at heart.
According to him, ” All of us could have stayed put with the ruling government if we don’t care about the people, but we have to leave because things are not done the way it should and we have to work to
“The government has derailed from all the promises they made to the people in 2019.
“Poverty is prevalent in the state where about 70 percent if the population is living in squalor, the issue of poverty , poor health care high rate of unemployment and the education sector is nothing to write home about,” he said.
Prof Sulaiman said the SDP is a party that is divinely created to bring the state to the next level and bring good tidings to the people of Kwara state.
