We’ve enough new naira notes for all, CBN insists

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) insists that there are enough newly redesigned notes for Nigerians.

Officials of the bank on a sensitization tour to Adamawa State made the assertion in the state capital, Yola, asserting that deposit money banks only had to place a request for the new notes to be given.

Director of the Internal Audit Department of the Bank, Lydia Alfa, asked Nigerians not to panic over the availability of the new notes, especially in light of the extended deadline for cash swap.

He advised them however not to relax as if the February ten date is so far away but to make the required effort to replace their old notes within time.
