Following the suspension of the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, some federal universities are reportedly set to begin preparation for the resumption of academic activities.
According to Information Gathered, University of Benin, Obafemi Awolowo University, Federal University of Lafia, others are reportedly set to hold special meetings to deliberate on new academic calendars.
On its part, the University of Benin has reportedly slated a special senate meeting for October 18, 2022, while Federal University of Lafia in a memo disclosed that the senate council of the institution will meet today.
Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, reportedly announced October 18, to discuss resumption matters, while the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, the Federal University of Dustin-Ma, Katsina, and the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture are reportedly set to hold a senate meeting today.
Other schools that have announced resumption include the Tai-Solarin University of Education, the University of Port-Harcourt; the University of Calabar and Bayero University Kano.
