Turkey-Syria earthquake: New-born and mother saved after four days in rubble

A new born baby and his mother have been rescued from rubble in Turkey, around ninety hours after Monday’s deadly earthquakes.

The ten day old boy, named Yagiz, was retrieved from a ruined structure in the southern Hatay province as the child was carefully taken out overnight.

Yagiz was pictured wrapped in a thermal blanket and was carried to an ambulance to receive treatment. While his mother was also brought out on a stretcher.

However, search and rescue efforts continue in both Turkey and neighboring Syria which was struck by the quakes as well
