A member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, youth wing and media aide to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir has expressed rude shock over the death of Mr Tunde Ashaolu, the PDP Publicity Secretary in Kwara State.
Ashaolu died suddenly on Sunday evening in Ilorin, the state capital, just a day after celebrating his birthday.
In a statement issued by Abdulqadir on Monday, he described the loss as one too many, adding that the world had lost one of its finest.
Abdulqadir described the late Ashaolu as a dear brother, great boss and an admirable team player who will sorely be missed.
He said, “You were a professional media practitioner to the core and a politician with a difference.
“You brought your professionalism to bear, as the PDP spokesperson and highly admired in your personal encounters with individuals.
“Personally, I will forever remain grateful to you for your tutelage and mentorship. Even at stormy moments, you stood and defended my course at all levels.
“You overlooked my excesses and embraced me at all times. ‘Abdul, you know you are my brother…’, you’ll say at all times.
“My heart is heavy and broken, for I truly lost a true brother and unquantifiable boss. Your memories will continue to live in me.
“The void you have created will be hard to fill long after you had left, for me, your family, the PDP and Kwara as a whole. May God rest your soul.”
Abdulqadir sympathized with the aged father of the deceased, his dear wife and children, as well as the immediate family members. He prayed God Almighty to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Press Officer on Local Matters, to Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki also condoned with his boss and Party Leader, friends, associates, and the entire PDP family.
He prayed God Almighty to grant Ashaolu a perfect and peaceful final rest.
