Tinubu calls for calm, says he’ll accept election outcome

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has urged Lagos residents to avoid any act of violence as the results of the presidential election trickle in.

It was earlier reported today that Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi was declared the winner of Lagos State in the Saturday’s presidential election.

However, in a statement released hours after Obi was announced winner, Tinubu asked that the outcome of the election should not be a source of provocation.

He added that the fact that the APC narrowly lost Lagos State to another party should not be the reason for violence and urged the citizens to maintain peace, decorum to allow the process to continue unhindered across the country.
