The Ninth Kwara State House of Assembly has today held its valedictory session.
Delivering his speech at session, the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu who described the last four years as unprecedented in the history of lawmaking in the state, thanked entire Kwarans for their support to the Ninth Assembly.
According to Engineer Danladi-Salihu, the Ninth Legislature under his leadership passed Twenty-Nine people oriented Bill into law, Fifty-Eight motions and Thirty-Eight reports were considered during the outgoing legislative session.
The Speaker, who took turns to extol the virtue of each of the outgoing and returning lawmakers, also appreciated the gentlemen of the press for discharging their duties with all sense of objectivity, just as he applauded the management and staff of the House of Assembly for their support.
As reported by our senior correspondent Olarotimi Oshin , the incoming Tenth Legislature consists of Eight returning and Sixteen new lawmakers making a total of Twenty four members.
