Taraba Governor reveals why Nigeria is turning into a failed State

Governor of Taraba Mr. Darius Ishaku has revealed why Nigeria is turning into a failed state, according to the report from todayng.

The Governor highlighted his reasons during an interactive session with journalists in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State.

According to him, the state of insecurity across the country and the inability of the military and other security agencies to tackle the situation is the reason Nigeria is gradually turning into a failed State.

He also highlighted the ability of the Nigerian military to stop insurgencies in other countries and struggled to tackle insurgency in theirs.

“Nigeria is sliding to a failed state, yes of cause Nigeria is sliding.

“If Nigerian Army can go to other countries and flush out insurgencies, why not Nigeria, especially in the North-East?

He, however, agitated for the creation of state police as it is used in the United State of America, where Nigeria copied its system of government.

“I’ve been in the forefront of the agitation for the creation of state police. America, where Nigeria copied its system of government from has federal, state, and local police. The American Army is never involved in internal security as it is in Nigeria today.
