Sources simply gave the name of the late woman as Hawa, wife of Lukman Ibrahim, a phone and accessories dealer in Owode Market known as “LUKTECH”.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday along Ojoku road around 7pm, was when the kidnapped husband was driving his father-in-law, pregnant wife and others home.
The pregnant woman reportedly died on the spot.
Her corpse initially taken to the mortuary of Offa General Hospital had since been buried.
A family source said “the deceased operated a chemist shop at Oshunte, along Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Offa.
“The kidnapped husband was driving the family home when less than two minutes drive to the Divisional Police Headquarters along Ojoku road, seven gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked them and shot the wife before whisking the husband away.”
Kwara Police spokesman Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed the incident.
