Suspect on wanted list caught committing another crime in Kwara

The Kwara state police command has paraded a notorious and suspected crime kingpin in the Ilorin metropolis, Kale Bayero, together with four members of his gang. Bayero, who had been declared wanted by police was caught with his gang members while allegedly committing another crime in the town.

Speaking during the parade of the suspected criminals in Ilorin on Thursday, the state police commissioner, Bolaji Fafowora, said that the suspect had been declared wanted since last year for crimes ranging from homicide to armed robbery and that he perpetrated the latest crime while the dearation was still subsisting.

The police boss also said that Bayero knocked down a female commuter with his motor car in Adabata area of Ilorin metropolis and when he was trailed by the victim’s sympathizers to Eruda area in the town, he called his Eiye secret cult members who started beating up people and destroying property in the area.

Fafowora said when the police command got wind of this information, the anti-cult squad of the command swung into action and stormed the hideouts of the secret cult members to arrest the suspects. The police boss said the suspects will soon be charged to court.
