Senate President, Bukola Saraki on Tuesday announced that the Senate will today hold a valedictory session for late Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
Senate Leader Ahmed Lawan had formerly announced the demise of Adeleke and he prayed the Senate, in line with “convention and practice of the National Assembly”, to adjourn plenary in honour of Adeleke.
The Minority Whip, Senator Philip Aduda, seconded the motion, which was unanimously adopted.
After observing a minute silence in honour of Adeleke, Saraki adjourned plenary till 10am today.
