Rivers Authorities Raise Alarm over plot to blackmail Wike

The Rivers State government has alleged a plot to blackmail the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, over the agitation by the G-5 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

According to a statement by Wike’s Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, Finebone a “faceless group” was behind a campaign of calumny against the governor.

Finebone said the faceless group was aggrieved that Wike led the G-5 governors to demand “fairness, equity and justice” in PDP.

Meanwhile, the G-5 group comprises governors from Benue, Oyo, Enugu, Abia; and Wike at the forefront in agitation for equity in the rotation of the party’s leadership.

The Wike-led group maintained that the North should not be allowed to produce the party’s flagbearer and the National Chairman.
