Residents seek security presence at Federal Government College ,Ogidi ,other kwara communities

An appeal has gone to the Federal and Kwara state government to as a matter of urgency ensure the security of students at the federal government college ogidi, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

This call became imperative following the recent attack by some suspected bandits in Kwara state.

Some residents who spoke with Royal Times said the school located on the outskirts of Ilorin and close to the expressway calls for attention.

The residents called on all security agencies to mount security checkpoints around the school and around the axis both day and night.

It is recalled that owing to emerging security threats from terrorists, the Federal Government had recently directed the National Examination Council to hasten the conduct of examinations for final-year students in Nigeria.

It also ordered the immediate closure of one of its colleges, the Federal Government College Kwali, located in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja over similar security threats.
