As attacks in the Niger Delta region continues to increase, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and the Coordinator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General (Rtd) P.T. Boroh, on Saturday, held a meeting with ex militants leaders in Benin City, Edo state.
The meeting which was attended by Amnesty Programme beneficiaries, Phase 1, 2 and 3, was aimed at discussing solutions, recommendations and observations in the Niger Dalta Amnesty programme.
The ex militants expressed their grievances, noting the lateness of their monthly allowance while reaffirming the belief that the region is being marginalized.
They, however, praised the Amnesty boss for the way the programme is now managed.
Boroh promised to look into their grievances and work on them.
However, it is not stated if members of the Niger Delta Avengers were represented in the meeting.
