Protest rocks Ilorin over scarcity of naira notes

Scores of youths, students, commuters, motorcyclists, business men and women staged a protest against the lingering scarcity of naira notes and petroleum in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

Royal FM correspondent olarotimi oshin reports that thousands of residents were surprised to discover that the some adjoining roads had been blocked by people protesting over naira scarcity.

The protesters who expressed their dissatisfaction over the lingering scarcity of naira notes and petroleum in the country blocked Oloje road, federal government college road ogidi, oko-olowo with burning of tires.

Within the Ilorin Metropolis, the protesters obstructed  major roads including Gerin Alimi ,Yakuba  Poly road ,offa garage and Ojo Oba area  thereby hindering free vehicular movement, which left many commuters stranded.
