 President Buhari to attend King Charles coronation in London

President Muhammadu Buhari will today depart Abuja for London, United Kingdom, to join other world leaders invited to attend the coronation of King Charles the third and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort of the United Kingdom respectively.

A statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made available today said Ahead of the coronation, the Commonwealth Secretariat will take advantage of the gathering of leaders in London to host a Commonwealth Summit for Presidents and Heads of Government of Commonwealth countries on Friday, May 5.

The statement titled ‘President Buhari to attend coronation of King Charles in London,’ revealed that the Nigerian leader is billed to participate in the Summit which will deliberate on the Future of the Commonwealth and the Role of the Youth.

King Charles ascended the British throne on September 8, 2023, after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth the second.
