President Buhari Claims He has no New House Since 2015

President Muhammadu Buhari says he has no desire to own a house outside Nigeria, adding that he has not bought one since he became President in 2015.

The President was quoted to have made the statement on BBC Hausa, after meeting with King Charles the 3rd at the Buckingham Palace, United Kingdom.

During a press conference after the meeting with the 73-year-old king, Buhari said the king asked him if he had a personal house in the UK to which he said no.

Buhari said the reason for his visit was to discuss the diplomatic and trade relationship between the two countries and maintained that the meeting was hitherto scheduled to take place in Kigali before Charles became king.

This is the first meeting between President Buhari and the king since his ascension to the throne.
