President Buhari Approves Presidential Transition Council

President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the establishment of a Presidential Transition Council for facilitating and managing the 2023 transition programme.

Aside from the council, the President also signed Executive Order No. 14, 2023, to facilitate the transition. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, disclosed this in a statement today.

Members of the committee headed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation include the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, and the Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice.

Others are permanent secretaries of the ministry of Defence, Interior, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Foreign Affairs, and Information and Culture.
