Portuguese international and Real Madrid defender Pepe has confirmed that he is leaving the European champions after 10 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Pepe, 34, joined Los Blancos in a £25m deal in 2007, and has made 334 appearances for the club.
He was left out of the Champions League final squad on Saturday night, not even making the bench having fallen below Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Nacho in the pecking order.
Pepe is exiting on a free transfer but leaves unhappy at the club’s handling of his departure – especially manager Zinedine Zidane.
