Pop star, Frequencie assists upcoming talents in music, visual production

As part of his efforts to promote the music industry, Afro Pop Star, Ayokanmi Oluwasegun Eyanro, popularly known as Frequencie has said his label, the Soft Lifestyle, has now assisted about 10 of the targeted 20 artistes in song and visual productions.

Frequencie admitted that although, music and visual productions are capital intensive, the label is still  very committed towards ensuring that talented and passionate artistes who do not have the wherewithal are assisted to achieve their dreams.

The song writer, spoke when he played host to selected newsmen at the Soft Lifestyle label studio to discuss a number of issues regarding the state of the nation and the entertainment industry.

“Although it costs a lot of money, but we can’t just stop. We have to assist to ensure these talents are not wasted because of fund,” he said.

“Some of those we have produced are the songs I just played for you, ‘Ekira’ and ‘Super woman.’ You can see quality in the production and talent in these individuals. They are all from Kwara.”

He also spoke about his new song, 2020, disclosing plans to produce the video soon.

He said, “The lastest single, ‘2020’ is an account of major events of the year 2020 to include attacks on Blacks, COVID-19 pandemic, religious issues among others.”

Reacting to Nigeria’s Independence celebration, the Afro Pop Star, expressed delight to receive journalists in the Soft Lifestyle label studio in commemoration of the diamond anniversary of Nigeria.

The song writer, well known for his social crusade and concerns for a better Nigeria expressed mixed feelings about what he called the journey of 60 years accompanied with suffering and little hope of a brighter tomorrow.

The human right crusader said he is more concerned about the apathetic mind-set of youths to some unpleasant policies of the government just as he stressed the need to remain undeterred but strong in the advocacy for a better Nigeria.

He also commended song artistes who use their songs to canvass for a saner society, but added that the struggle must go beyond lyrics alone to actions.

Pressed to react to his massive support for winner of the Big Brother Naija 2020 Season, Laycon, Frequencie modestly admitted his support both openly and secretly for Laycon.

While describing Laycon as a talented and determined artiste, he disclosed that something entertaining will surely come up in collaboration with the new star.
