Police warn cultists against 7/7 rally in Lagos

Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has warned members of the Neo Black Movement of Africa known as Black Axe against plans to rally in celebration of what it called 7/7 day.

The Lagos Police Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the Lagos State Police Command based on credible intelligence at its disposal, gathered that some hoodlums and cultists have perfected plans to foment trouble in the state on Thursday.

Alabi warned the groups with the intent to scuttle the peace being enjoyed in the state to shelve their plans. The Guardian reports that the CP while urging all residents of Lagos State to be law-abiding and vigilant enjoins them to go about lawful duties without fear of harassment or intimidation.
