The kwara state police command has paraded a most wanted deadly cultist Olatunji Ibrahim popularly called Ariyo and two others who according to police led members of his gang to unleash terror on Agberere Ita-Ajia and other arrears of Ilorin by killing and setting hundreds of houses ablaze.
Addressing newsmen at the police headquarters, the state commissioner of police Sam Okaula explained the police had earlier set up special investigation team in a bid to make Ariyo answer for his criminal activities.
In another development, the police also paraded the kwara police also paraded another suspected murder David Ogundele aged thirty six who according to police murdered his girlfriend Toyin Ashinwo in Ilorin. According to police report, the deceased was said to have refused his marriage proposal.
Ogundele has however confessed to the heinous crime and will be charged to court.
Still on fighting cultism activities in kwara state, the police also arrested a suspected cult member of Eiye confraternity Lawrence Ajayi along Erin-Ile who was jailed in 2013. The police also arrested one Mayowa Anjorin along kilanko area of Ilorin for alleged raping, rubbery and unlawful possession of arms.
