The Kwara state police command has described as false the speculations going round that a restaurant known has Alhaja Iya Alao restaurant and canteen services along Adeta round-about is in possession of human skull.

The police also advised Kwara residents to desist from taking laws into their hands. The command said this when its intervention prevented residents from burning down the restaurant after the rumour became rife.

Our correspondent olarotimi Oshin who was at the event spoke with the police officers who bombarded the canteen for search. The Police officers said nothing was found at the restaurant after thorough search was carried out on the building as against the rumour.

The owner of the restaurant, Alhaja Alao said the rumour emanated from the enemy of progress.

As at the time of filing this report, the Nigeria police command is still investigating the matter and promise to publish the true story leading to the development.
