Police Authorities Train Officers On Security Management

In preparation for the 2023 General Election, Police authorities organized training for officers across the six states of the North East region to ensure an election with violence and disturbance.

The program which is themed “the 2023 General Election, hunting National Security Capacity for a Secure And Credible Electoral Process in Nigeria” is attended by various security operatives, Nigeria Bar Association, Civic society Organizations, and others.

According to the training consultants, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, initiated the training for officers to be acquitted with the new electoral act.

The Consultants added that the Inspector General of Police also intends that after the training, the officers involved in the workshop will return to their Command and share the knowledge acquired in the training.

However, Isa Izge, who is the representative of Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, the knowledge acquired in the training can help security operatives tackle the insecurity challenges that have been witnessed in Borno State in the previous elections.
